The Musée des vieux métiers is housed in the Tour Grosse, part of the village’s medieval ramparts, which has been a listed building since 1933. The Musée des vieux métiers was created in 1975, then renovated and inaugurated in 1995.
The three-storey museum displays tools and implements from bygone eras, showcasing traditional trades and the daily lives of the inhabitants of the Montagne Noire.
At the top of the tower, you’ll find a 360° panoramic view of the Pyrenees, and an orientation table to help you read the landscape.
The museum is open from time to time. To find out more, keep up to date with the latest news.
