A KEY EVENT IN THE MONTAGNE NOIRE
Since 2013, the Montagne Noire has been lucky to host Festirando, an event created by local hiking associations, with support from the Montagne Noire federation of municipalities.
With Festirando, the Montagne Noire’s unmissable event, you’ll be exploring the massif with volunteer guides who know the area like the back of their hand and have so much information to share with you.
For each edition of Festirando, the guides create original hiking routes, especially for the event. They will take you on an exploration of the natural and built heritage of the Montagne Noire, and sometimes they’ll take you along footpaths that aren’t usually available to the public. This rare opportunity is what makes it an event that is not to be missed!
The festivities don’t stop there, they continue throughout the whole weekend. Festirando invites you to discover the local producers at a farmer’s market or at the meal organised on the Monday, the last day of the event. You’ll also be able to enjoy the festivities at the various local events that take place over the same weekend.
HIKING FESTIVAL OVER WHIT WEEKEND
Are you wondering what to do for Whit weekend? Festirando is a free and welcoming event over three days for Whit weekend!
Whether you are an experienced walker or not, whether you come as a group, with friends, family or alone, you’ll have a great weekend on the Festirando walks as you embrace the natural environment to recharge your batteries and just have some fun along with the other participants.
There are several walks each day, all with varying levels of difficulty, making Festirando accessible to everyone. Even your beloved dogs are accepted on a lead!
Festirando is also an event that showcases cycling, and there is a route every year for electric bikes.
