LA CASCADE DE CUBSERVIÈS

Roquefère takes its name from this ‘fierce rock’. The schist forms the castle, the houses, the bridges, the washhouses and the bell towers. A fabulous blend of grey rock with golden highlights. Water accompanies us everywhere on this tour in the heart of the Montagne Noire.

Its waterfall can be contemplated from the promontory of the perched hamlet of Cubserviès. Stray and dreamy, the chapel of Saint-Sernin welcomes passers-by and protects souls, letting slip some old traditions honouring ancient cults towards the neighbouring ridges.
