    Promoting inclusion: completing your organisation’s Acceslibre form

    For people with disabilities, the lack of reliable information on accessibility is the main obstacle to planning their trip.

    Let’s promote the Montagne Noire region by showing that, as a community, we are committed to inclusion.

    What is AccesLibre?

    • AccesLibre is a national collaborative platform dedicated to accessibility.

    • It helps people with disabilities to plan their journeys and holidays.

    • It covers all types of disability: visual, hearing, mobility and mental.

    • The venue profiles provide details on access, parking, toilet facilities and equipment, amongst other things.

    • Contributed to by users and venues, the platform is free to use and easy to contribute to.

    Which organisations are covered by the AccesLibre fact sheets?

    Any establishment open to the public is covered by AccesLibre.

    • Tourist accommodation
    • Restaurants
    • Tourist attractions (e.g. monuments)
    • Shops
    • Cultural venues (e.g. theatres, cinemas, museums, etc.)

    Why create your profile and aim for 100% completion? ​

    • Enable people with disabilities to plan their stay by providing access to reliable information about your establishment’s accessibility.
    • Gain greater visibility on a leading platform dedicated to accessibility.
    • Highlight the facilities at your establishment, even if it is not fully accessible (do not try to sugar-coat the information).
    • Retain control over your establishment’s information. Become the owner of your listing so that you are the only person authorised to represent your tourism business.

    What are the general requirements for creating a record?

    • The name and postal address of your establishment.

    • Contact details: telephone number, website, email

    • Locate your establishment on an interactive map

    • Whether there are any public transport stops within 200 metres

    • Whether there are any parking facilities (accessible or otherwise)

    • Whether there is a path leading to the main entrance of the establishment

    • How the entrance and reception area are laid out (inside and outside)

    • Whether or not staff are trained in disability issues

    • Whether there are accessible toilets

    • Whether the establishment holds a disability-related accreditation
