GITE CASTEL DE BATAILLÉ

Castel Bataillé, a 19th-century manor house, sleeps 6 to 8 people in an enchanting rural setting conducive to peace and relaxation, with uninterrupted views over the Aude plain and the Pyrenees.

This gîte is located 25 km from the medieval town of Carcassonne, close to Montolieu, the village of books, and the Château de Saissac. The gîte is set in parkland with century-old trees, not overlooked, and has a secure swimming pool (12mx6m) shared with the owners.

The ground floor comprises a large dining room/kitchen, a sitting area with fireplace, WC and direct access to a terrace equipped with table, chairs and barbecue.

Upstairs, a landing leads to 3 bedrooms: one with 2 single beds (90cm) or 1 double bed (180cm) and an adjoining w.c.; one with a single bed (140cm) and an adjoining w.c.; a smaller bedroom-cabin with 2 bunk beds.

The landing has space for a sofa bed.

La Source and La Sorcière are two accommodation options located in a charming old farmhouse surrounded by forest. At the foot of Pic de Nore and a stone’s throw from the GR36 hiking trail, you can enjoy the peace and beauty of the countryside here.

You will stay in a comfortable and welcoming place. In summer, settle under the pergola to share a meal outdoors. In winter, the fire crackles gently in the fireplace, warming you and creating that typical mountain evening atmosphere.

A beautiful, fully equipped kitchen will delight food lovers, whether beginners or experienced cooks.

‘La Source et la Sorcière’ is also a haven of peace for horse riders: paddocks and meadows are available.

GITE LE CHALET DU MOULIN

Le Chalet du Moulin’ gîte is located 20 minutes north of Carcassonne, in a small, quiet village in the Montagne Noire, Brousses-et-Villaret.

The gîte is set back from a small road leading to a tourist site: the Brousses paper mill.

The gîte has 3 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with American fridge and induction hob, a large comfortable living room with 120 cm SmartTV Home Cinema, Netflix, Deezer… and WIFI.

The chalet also has a covered terrace with garden table and plancha, as well as a relaxation or party area in the shade of the holm oaks.

The garden is 1,000 m2 and features holm oaks and large stone boulders (see the Brousses granite chaos).

Numerous walks and mountain bike rides around the village and fishing and swimming spots in the surrounding area. Parking for 2 cars available in the garden.
