COEUR DE BROUSSES

For me, Brousses-et-Villaret is an ideal village, located between two very different natural areas: scrubland to the south, deciduous forests to the north (magnificent in spring and autumn) as well as lakes and the Montagne stream. You will enjoy peace and quiet just 25 minutes from the city of Carcassonne, the Canal du Midi, close to the Brousses paper mill and several Cathar castles… some of the Aude region’s most popular tourist attractions. The house has a garden where you can relax, the stone interior stays cool during hot weather and the veranda opening onto the garden is ideal for indoor/outdoor living in mid-season.
The cottage has an adjoining enclosed garden with a garden table and barbecue. Surrounded by holm oaks and chestnut trees, there are numerous walking and mountain biking trails around the village, as well as fishing and swimming spots in the nearby streams and small lakes.

Parking is available in the garden.

The cottage comprises: entrance into a large veranda serving as a living room, kitchen/dining room with fireplace, bedroom with double bed, shower room and separate toilet. Upstairs there is a large attic bedroom with a king-size bed and two single beds. Board games and children’s books are available.

GITE JUST AU BOUT DU CHEMIN

Large detached family house on three floors, set in four hectares of unfenced grounds surrounded by nature at an altitude of 550 metres, where you can enjoy the heated indoor swimming pool from 1 June to 30 September. Completely renovated, its south-facing position allows you to enjoy breathtaking views of the Aude valley and the Pyrenees.

Ground floor: living room with fully equipped kitchen, games room with table football, laundry room, WC.
First floor: 3 bedrooms (2 double beds and 2 single beds), bathroom with shower, separate WC. Accessible via the balcony, master bedroom with king-size bed or 2 single beds, with shower and WC.
Second floor: 2 king-size or 2×90 beds, dressing room, bathroom with bath, separate WC.

GITE DU REC D’ALBY

This gîte is located close to Lac de Laprade, with a magnificent panoramic view of the Pyrenees. Softly furnished and decorated, you can enjoy the veranda or fireplace depending on the season.

For riders, there is an adjoining paddock with a shelter so you can bring your horse. The chalet is the starting point for a wide range of walking, mountain biking and horse-riding trails (5 routes).

The picturesque village of Cuxac-Cabardès offers all amenities.

CHAMBRES D’HOTES DU DOMAINE DE CAMPRAS

The guest rooms are ideally located near the village of Saissac and its Cathar castle. Facing south, on the ground floor, they offer exceptional and unforgettable views of the Pyrenees and the Aude plain.

The four rooms have independent access, TV, WiFi connection, private bathroom and toilet. In the relaxation room, you will find: microwave, coffee maker, kettle, assortment of teas and coffee, and documentation on the region.

Large wooded area (20,000 m²), jacuzzi facing the view, panoramic pétanque court, playground for young and old, table tennis, table football and giant chess are also available. Horses, chickens and ducks on the estate will delight young and old alike.

LA PICHOLINE – LES CHAMBRES DE CLAUDINE

The Moulin d’Artigues gite includes a lounge/kitchen, a dining room overlooking the waterfall, and a small veranda with garden furniture. On the first floor there are two bedrooms (a double bed and two single beds), a bathroom and a toilet. Beds are made on arrival, and the end-of-stay cleaning service and other charges re included. This gite is not suitable for young children.

CABANE DU TRAPPEUR – HÉBERGEMENT INSOLITE

Located in the countryside, far from any noise pollution, the trapper’s cabin offers an exceptional panoramic view of the Aude plain and the Pyrenees mountain range.

This unique cabin, handcrafted from local wood and eco-friendly materials, can accommodate 1 to 5 people, making it an ideal place for a couple, a family or a group of friends. Enjoy its comfort and private terrace to fully recharge your batteries.

The cabin is part of a 2-hectare wooded and fenced estate, which also includes 4 independent guest rooms, a gypsy caravan and a modern loft. There are various activities for young and old alike: a playground, a panoramic pétanque court, table football, table tennis, giant chess, a picnic area and an outdoor jacuzzi with breathtaking views of the Pyrenees (on request). Horses, chickens and ducks on the estate will delight young and old alike.

The estate has a private, enclosed car park. The cabin can be rented as a holiday cottage or guest room, with breakfast available as an option.

Nearby, you can explore numerous mountain bike trails and enjoy the G.R. 7. For swimming, Lake Lampy is 10 km away. All shops and restaurants are available in the village of Saissac, 2 km away. Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi are only 20 minutes away, and the Mediterranean Sea is 1 hour away.
